D&ME Home

Manufacturing Process Design focuses on the development of new manufacturing processes for ligthweight material. These manufacturing processes include super-plastic forming, stamping of tailored welded blanks, hydro-forming, and electromagnetic forming. Also, work at PNNL included advanced joining technologies for dissimilar materials. Engineering modeling and simulation at PNNL through the Virtual Prototyping & Engineering Simulations plays an important role in the development of new manufacturing technologies.
