Researchers in the Materials Processing Group of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) use both basic and applied multidisciplinary research to understand the response of advanced materials to processing conditions.

The ability to integrate advanced materials and processes with unique facilities enables PNNL to provide opportunities for manufacturers to develop new materials and fabricate them using the latest technologies. Using PNNL's on-site fabrication and analytical capabilities, manufacturers can design and test new products and processes without the downtime associated with in house development.

Members of the PNNL staff are primarily metallurgical, ceramic, and mechanical engineers with industrial and government experience. However, the client has the advantage of working with not only PNNL staff but also its network of scientists and engineers across academia and industry. This select group of experienced professionals can provide efficient solutions to your problems.
