Micro Mouse Technology Category: Intelligent Robotics Description: Battelle staff developed Micro Mouse during the mid-1980's for an IEEE conference. This was one of Battelle's first robotic development activities and provided a starting point for many of our later robotics efforts. While not sophisticated by today's standards, Micro Mouse continues to be used by Battelle staff for demonstrations of technology to local schools. Micro Mouse is a maze-solving robot. The robot is placed at the start of maze and based on sensor input guides itself around in the maze until it finds the finish. The robot can then return to the starting location and solve the maze by a shortest path. Point of Contact: Gordon Anderson (509) 376-9558 |
