Project Activity Scope (from Technical Overview Chart): Sensors and Devices through Integrated Systems

PNNL Solution:

  • Automated system based on renewable microbead column
  • Affinity matured antibodies (IgG) give high sensitivity and selectivity
  • Complex samples can be rapidly processed and target species extracted
  • Highly sensitive on-column fluorescence detection using customized optics/detector
  • Successfully demonstrated

Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: Surface chemistry, enzyme chemistry, detector physics, electronics, micro fluidics control, electronics systems, quantitative analysis, fluorescent nanoparticle (quantum dot) synthesis and characterization, quantum dot conjugation and attachment, fluorescence spectroscopy, laser detection, custom optics and fiber optics, affinity-matured antibody development, stabilized enzymes and antibodies, single chain antibodies, custom protein synthesis, non-immunologically derived capture proteins, combinatorial chemistry, Biacore testing.
