Tailored DNA Detector Array Preparation (457)
Problem: Need to prepare arrays that are tailored to detect specific organisms and DNA/mRNA fragments.
Project Activity Scope (from Technical Overview Chart): Mechanisms through Sensors and Devices.
PNNL Solution:
- Determined key DNA fragments for target microorganism(s) using complementary analysis tools
- Selected and procured DNA fragments for effective capture of key micro-organism fragments
- Prepared test arrays by attaching "tether" DNA fragments to substrate using pattern printer
Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: Oligonucleotide selection, array printing, experimental design.
