Dual Array Method for Stress Analysis (447)
Problem: Measure environmental stress effect on messenger RNA population (+ or -) with minimal processing steps.
Project Activity Scope (from Technical Overview Chart): Mechanisms through Sensors and Devices.
PNNL Solution:
- Prepared 1st array to control sample
- Exposed 2nd array to test solution
- Analyzed each array
- Formed difference data array by subtracting corresponding pixel responses on the two arrays (i.e. [Responsex,y(Control) - Responsex,y(Test)])
- Pixel values indicate stress effects
Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: Array preparation, hybridization, and data analysis.
