PNNL Solution:
- Natural organisms such as fathead minnows provide early indication of environmental threat (estradiol) based on protein overexpression (vitellogenin)
- Using LC-MALDI and statistical data analysis methods to identify additional biomarkers in natural organisms and species for exposure to threats & environmental contaminants
Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: MALDI-MS and HPLC methods development; Algoworks peak detection algorithm (PNNL patent); MATLAB algorithms; Anion exchange high performance liquid chromatography; automated peak extraction and data processing.
