  • Measure electromagnetic transmittance of sample materials (chemical, biological, natural and manmade materials) using a broad spectral range FTIR.
  • Analyze spectra to determine measurement system effects and to determine the needed material spectral properties.

Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: FTIR for spectral transmission measurements with the capability to measure moderate resolution to routine resolution spectra; wide range of sample preparation methods; spectral analysis and modeling including comparisons with existing data bases (HiTran, etc.); optical system assembly and use; equipment to handle reactive and toxic vapor samples; diffuse scattering measurements of solid samples.
