Problem: Real-time grid operating data are needed for new tool development, evaluation, validation and demonstration.

PNNL Solution:
- Accessed data from North America's eastern and western power grids* utilizing PNNL's Electricity Infrastructure Operations Center (EIOC)
- Leveraged data for the development and evaluation of new grid monitoring, analysis, and predictive technologies
*Note: Data confidentiality requirements prohibit data release in most cases, but data can be leveraged for new grid technology development.
Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: Synchrophasor data, Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA ) technology and systems, signal processing, power systems communication technologies, development of situational awareness tools in the grid operator environment.
