Problem: Develop improved tools/methods for understanding, management, and control of the electrical power distribution system.

- Provided EIOC dedicated resources and direct connectivity to important grid data and computational resources

- Utilized EIOC access to enhance research effectiveness in many thrust areas
Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: High fidelity simulation using industry standard Energy Management Software (EMS) and data models to establish a realistic operational environment; expertise in human factors and human performance to assess operator performance using various tools control center tools and under a variety of simulated grid operating conditions.
