Problem: Design, fabricate and demonstrate a prototype, bench-scale, on-line oil analysis system providing lab-quality data
Project Activity Scope (from Technical Overview Chart): Circuits and Devices through Integrated Systems
PNNL Solution:
- Combine commercial and PNNL developed sensor modules
- Design integrated, modular system (sensors and oil fluidics) with auto-sampling system for on-line use
- Integrate system using LabView software for control and analysis
- Modular design will facilitate future sensor and software upgrades
Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: Design and assembly of integrated bench scale prototype; software development for system control, data acquisition, data analysis, and reporting; design documentation; system testing and evaluation; analysis of results to establish performance levels against industry and military standards.
