Problem: Secure SCADA communications are required to reliable controls and to ensure proprietary information.

- Determined if COTS* equipment could meet the requirements
- Developed application specific solutions to meet unique client needs for secure communications

Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: Leveraged PNNL staff with: expertise in SCADA system design and operation, SCADA security, cyber security, power systems, and system integration, knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and methods to identify deployed system vulnerabilities, knowledge of security risk mitigation methods and tools.
