PNNL Solution:
- Designed/fabricated electronics using commercial-grade components
- Tested to determine components that survive flight stresses (e.g., vibration, shock, EMI, temperature, vacuum).
- Delivered instruments for flight using only test-proven components
- NOTE: Numerous successful US Shuttle & MIR flights have been completed.
Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: Radiation detection physics; analog and digital electronics design, fabrication, and testing; software development for controls and data acquisition/analysis; system integration; mechanical system design and integration.
