- NOTE: System provided high reliability, failure tolerance (redundancy), high data rates, & real time material tracking.
Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs:System architecture design; process control hardware and software development including failure tolerance features; data acquisition system and database software development to provide permanent record of processes and material tracking; system installation and validation.
- Comments: The Secure Automated Fuel Fabrication facility provided 100% remote fabrication of nuclear fuel beginning with powder, production of fuel pellets, and assembly into fuel pins containing the fuel.
