- Solicited/selected industrial licensee (Quantrad Sensor, Inc.)
- Assisted in design of commercial instrument based on PNNL prototype
- Assisted in development of second generation Quantrad instrument
- Multiple Quantrad products are now based on the PNNL technology from this commercialization effort
- Efforts recognized with 1995 FLC Award
Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: Analog and digital electronics design; development of embedded software for instrument control; radiation sensor optimization for production; used commercial palm-top computer; integrated system design for low-power, battery operation with practical operating times; developed design and operating documentation; packaging design; training of commercialization partner staff.
