  • Developed automated scanning microscope with 2-D camera to provide automated surface examination
  • Developed automated image analysis system to identify surface features with key "signatures"
  • Developed automated marker to visibly designate selected features

Capabilities Employed to Meet Client Needs: Optical equipment evaluation, specification, and selection; imaging system design including selection of high-resolution 2-D camera, image acquisition board, and image analysis hardware/software; neural network system deployment for learning key feature signatures; mechanical design and integration of object scanning microscope stage; software development for system control, data acquisition, processing, and storage; laboratory testing and evaluation; system design and performance documentation.
